If you have a live account with Jetstar you can now automate availability, rates and bookings by interfacing/connecting your iBex account to Jetstar.

Please read the important notes (bottom of page) about interface limitations.

Note: If you would like Seekom support to make the connection for you, a charge of $110 per hour (+tax) will apply with a minimum charge of $50 (+tax).


Version 4

You will need to obtain your Jetstar property code and enable connection by iBex Channel Manager. Click here to login to your Jetstar account.
Click Property tab (top of screen).
Note Jetstar Supplier ID (in web page address at top of screen).

You will require this for step 18 below:

Eg. In example screen image above Jetstar Supplier ID is 12345.
Scroll down and at Channel Manager field select ‘Seekom/IBEX CM’.
Click Save button (bottom of screen).
Log out of Jetstar.
Login to your iBex account – click here
From left menu select Sales Channels > Add a sales Channel
At the pop up window titled ‘New Sales Channel’ click the button Register Available Sales Channel
Enter ‘jetstar’ into search field at top right of window and press enter on your keyboard.

Matching results will be displayed – see example screen image below:

If this the first and only connection to Jetstar click the green plus icon adjacent to Jetstar (see above example).

If this is an additional connection select Jetstar (Connection 2 or 3) as appropriate. Refer Important Notes section below.
Optionally update General section fields as required.

Rules section:

  • select required Selling Group (likely to be Agents)
  • select Rate Modifier (Rate 1 will typically be same as you sell at, other options will be a % increase or discount)
  • set Commission charged by Jetstar (PMS accounts only. )
  • set Commission Extras Code (PMS accounts only. Likely to be Misc > Cmsn)

Refer to example below:
Click Register Sales Channel button.

You will progress to the Channel Mapping tab.
Enter your email address at iBex Notification Emails To field.
It is recommended that iBex Email on New Booking are set as follows:

  • Block Operator – not checked
  • Block Property – checked
  • Block Customer – checked

It is recommended that iBex Booking Email Rule is set to ‘Do not send emails’.
At Channel Property ID enter last 5 digits of your Jetstar Supplier ID (as obtained in step 3).
Set Min Stay Handling field as required (we recommend First Available).

This is really only relevant if you will be mapping a single room type from iBex to multiple room types at Jetstar (eg. for length of stay price variations, etc).
Set Allocation Handling field as required (we recommend Total per Room).

At Rate Type select Gross.
Click Save button.
Room and rate mapping will now be set – refer sample screen image below.

Complete each room mapping row as follows:

  • Channel Room Name – select as required (this is the room type name at Jetstar).
  • iBex Rate Name – select as required.
  • Channel Rate Name – select as required (this is the rate name at Jetstar).

Click ‘+’ to map any iBex room type to further room types at Jetstar (eg. for differing minimum stays/rates – see notes at bottom of this page). See image below for an example where the Standard Room has been connected to multiple room types at Jetstar.

Click Save button.
Click Save & Update Channel button.
Wait a few minutes and click View Log button.

If the Remote Service Log Viewer indicates queued updates are pending, wait a further few minutes and click the ‘Refresh’ button. 
If you have performed the connection successfully you will see OK messages for inventory & rates uploaded.

Jetstar require you transmit them Gross Rates.

If you wish to provide availability from iBex to Jetstar simultaneously for differing rates and minimum stay periods on a room type (rather than lowest available minimum stay set) you will need to duplicate the rate at Jetstar for each differing minimum stay.

iBex supports up to 3 connections to Jetstar from a single property. Instructions vary at step 11 above if setting up a 2nd or 3rd connection.

After any extensive modification of your rates/prices within iBex it is recommended you perform a full re-synch to Jetstar.
